Thank you! I'm thinking of getting a house through the Akiya banks in Japan and fixing it up. Hopefully by 2025.

Honestly, good idea if you wanna live there. Their economy is shit now so you might as well take advantage lol

The economy has been pretty bad for at least 20 years. Without population growth, I'm not optimistic that it will get much better.

That's my entire plan, I'm going to get a work from home job eventually and then start working on getting a nice house. I've been wildly stressing trying to find somewhere in the states that checks the boxes for a place I'd actually be happy in while also being able to live comfortably. Eventually I'll probably fix up my grandparents extra house but it's in the middle of nowhere Louisiana so I'm not super excited to live there.

Suddenly upgrading my 1tb external hard drive on my computer to a 5tb one seems so marginal at best.
in case I didn't mention before, my brother's got "an appointment" on the 2nd to see if he doesn't have to be "out of town". Fingers crossed.

This is not the sort of stuff you should be sharing with us, really.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
What I mean is that hopefully if he comes back he won't get in trouble like last time. What really upsets me is that he chose to NOT ask me for a place to stay. I know I told him my place is too small but at least he would have had a place to stay until he had something more permanent. The problem was that he had to wear an ankle monitor and check in at the address he gave his PO. But he gave in to his temptations and the person he was staying with was trying to stay sober, so he got the boot.

I also forgot to mention that his wife got out awhile ago. I hope they're on the same page re: sobriety.

I hope your brother and his wife find the help they need repo. That shit ain't easy. they have to be willing to want to get help. No matter how many times it takes, if they keep trying, hopefully they'll succeed eventually.
I have surgery next week to fix a hernia right above the ding ding area lol. Tore that and my groin on my right side just swing a bat during a softball game. Never had surgery before and luckily my job is paying me without burning vacation or doing short term disability.
