Thanks Markies and Elk!
Nice pick-ups, PH! Wasn't familiar with Shepherd's Crossing but seems like a fun one. Also, I missed out on the Syphon Filter series. I'd like to check out the first game in the series.

Re: Games Acquired 2023
Markies' Games Acquired List Of 2023!
1. Roadkill (PS2)
2. Riviera: The Promised Land (GBA)
3. Quackshot (GEN)
4. Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters (GBC)
5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall Of The Foot Clan (GBC)
6. X-Men Mutant Apocalypse (SNES)
7. Silhouette Mirage (PS1)
8. Dark Cloud (PS2)
9. Rogue Galaxy (PS2)
10. Jade Empire: Limited Edition (XBOX)
11. Borderlands 2: Game Of The Year Edition (PS3)
12. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
13. Resident Evil 4 (Wii)
14. DuckTales Remastered (WiiU)
15. Octopath Traveler (NS)
16. Mario Superstar Baseball
17. The Guardian Legend (NES)
18. Harvest Moon 64 (N64)
19. Parasite Eve II (PS1)
20. Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)
21. Ori And The Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (NS)
22. Evolution 2: Far Off Promise (SDC)

I added Evolution 2: Far Off Promise for the Sega DreamCast this afternoon!
One of the most enjoyable games I played last year was Evoltuion for the DreamCast. It was a turn based RPG mixed with randomized dungeons that mixed perfectly well. I was in need of a new DreamCast game and I knew I had to jump on the sequel. I had heard very little about the original Evolution and the same can be said about the sequel. But, with me enjoying the first game so much, I figured you can't go wrong with the sequel. Here's hoping it is just as good!

Nice list here, Elk. I didn't realize US versions of River City 2 were released. Was it easy to come by near you? Had a great time with the first game.ElkinFencer10 wrote: New for March 25-31
Resident Evil 4 (PS5)
River City Girls 2 (Switch)
Horror Tales: The Wine (Switch)
Demon's Tilt (Switch)
Hollow (Switch)
Hollow 2 (Switch)
Also, look forward to hearing your thoughts on the RE4 Remake.
Nice find, Markies! I think I mentioned this before, but I didn't gel with the first Evolution game when I first got it in the Dreamcast's heyday. However, I'm willing to give it another chance. Hope you enjoy the game! I'll be looking out for your review when the time comes.Markies wrote: 22. Evolution 2: Far Off Promise (SDC)

Re: Games Acquired 2023
I remember the first Evolution wasn't compatible with the VGA box for Dreamcast. Is Evolution 2?
Re: Games Acquired 2023

...March wasn't too bad imo for adding to the collection. I'm particularly geeked about finally grabbing a copy of Hishou Same! Same! Same! b/c I thought that it had gone out of print. Toaplan shmups are some of my favorites and Fire Shark is a game that's pretty special to me b/c it's my lucky dime, the very first game I ever purchased with my own money as a kid. Being an awesome port on the Genesis was a plus too. Death Road to Canada and Like a Dragon both look like a pretty fun time. Cloud Master is the latest SMS game I've been able to get my hands on, I have good memories of this sort of obscure 8-bit shmup from enjoying my cousin's copy back in the day. I'm definitely glad to have my own now though. Everyone knows Cuphead is awesome, and my copy is a much-appreciated gift from a great friend.
...it looks like March was pretty good for you guys too. Note you got some good stuff, Lunar and Pocky & Rockey are classics for sure and Shredder's Revenge is just awesome to play. I can't say that I'm too familiar with Champions of Norath, but couch co-op games are usually a lot of fun. I've been on the fence about The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa, mainly b/c I had no idea what it was about. Since you said it seems to be the same spirit as the River City games, I'll keep an eye out for it. Demon's Tilt is something I've been looking to grab, Elkin if you get a moment it would be cool to see what you think of the game if you get a chance to try it out. Markies, Evolution 2 is something I passed on back in the day but something but haven't really come across when I'm out looking for games. I've heard it's a solid edition and like Note something I'll probably give a go if I come across a copy.

Death Road to Canada slaps!
And iirc, with the Switch version you can play it with a single Joycon. It's also got local co-op multi-player.
Also, re: Yakuza and River City:

Nice pick-ups, Syndicate! I wasn't familiar with Hishou Same! Same! Same! or Cloud Master, but looked them up and both look to be really fun games. I'm especially interested in Hishou, wouldn't mind grabbing that if I came across it. Also, I've heard a lot of good things about Yakuza: Like A Dragon. I need to finally hop into the series one of these days!
The art style in Cuphead is pretty amazing, I haven't spent too much time with it but I played it at a friend's place a few years ago and was really impressed. Death Road to Canada also looks like a fun game! I think my partner would really like it and great that it has couch co-op as well.

Re: Games Acquired 2023
Yeah, Cuphead really wears its Fleischer Studios inspirations on its sleeves. I personally recommend "Bimbo's Initiation" (which features the final appearance of Betty Boop in her original anthropomorphic poodle design), "Swing You Sinners", "Minnie the Moocher" (would this be considered the first music video?) and "Baby Be Good".
Fun fact: in the only Betty Boop cartoon to be done in color (excluding B&W shorts that were later colorized), which is "Poor Cinderella", she is depicted as a redhead.
