I got a Zelda Collectors Edition but...
I was at a local store today and I bought a copy of the Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition for Game Cube for $25 which I think was a fair deal. However they have their used games in these clear bags that fit tight almost like celophane which is good cause there is no sticker residue left on the games but when I took it out of the bag I noticed something. The game case has the plastic cut off of it and the art insert is glued to the case. It has the manual and other interior paperwork but I dont know if I can deal with the game being in that condition. Should I just return it? Should I try to pull the art off of the case? What are the chances of me being able to just get the cover insert from somewhere for cheap? Meh, Im not sure what to do with this. Advice?

If the real case is going to bug you that much, return it.

I would say return it. I have seen that game at Game Stop for much lower. I think that sometimes they don't even have a system for pricing used games, just put a random number on it. I saw it for $10 and I saw the Master Quest for $5 once. Plus, I agree, the condition would bother me too - I have a couple games that have ripped labels or something else wrong with them and they are always the first thing I see when I look at my collection.

Could you post a pic?
That sounds horrendous. Who would do such a thing?

$25 is actually a decent price for it. I see them for $40-50 in most places. The original cover isnt really all that great to begin with, but if you need the original, if can be found on thecoverproject.net, as well as multiple variants which are superior. Cant really understand what they did to your game, but sounds pretty bad. Why would they do that?

Ugh, I've see this before. There is a copy of Klonoa 2 at the local gamestop which is in the same condition. It's too bad too, because I've been looking everywhere for that game. I bought a copy of LoZ:CE a couple months ago, and it cost about what you paid, so I'd imagine you could find it again at a reasonable price.

Re: I got a Zelda Collectors Edition but...
I have no idea why someone would do that. It had to be on purpose right? Meaning they didnt just happen to have a case without plastic and figured Ill glue this on here. No they had to purposefully remove the plastic then glue the art to the case....wierd.
Re: I got a Zelda Collectors Edition but...

Sorry for the big pic. I didnt feel like resizing. Thats fucked up right? Yeah, Im taking it back, I can get another one later.

You know, when I was young sometimes the plastic cover of the Sega Genesis cases fell off.. I never even thought about gluing the artwork to the case. Why would anyone ever think that looks right
