It depends where you are getting the tattoos, but if you're planning for upper body, walking should be fine so long as you try to avoid exposing them to sunlight. That said, working up a sweat also isn't great for your new tattoo, regardless of where it is, though so long as you are sure to clean it properly and take care of it, it shouldn't affect the healing.

I don't know much about tattoos. However, I have slight concerns about getting a huge tattoo and immediately following it by significant weight loss. Sixty pounds is a lot, and there's a good chance you'll end up with loose skin. I don't know how that would affect your tattoos.

That said, lots of people with lots of tattoos have significant weight fluctuations, so information is out there.

Apart from not knowing anything about tattoos, needing to take a few days off here and there, in and of itself, is not a reason to delay strength training. You would likely need to get into something a bit more demanding than Ring Fit. Like, actual weight lifting or serious calisthenics.

If you're going to start strength training, you honestly need to take it pretty slow getting started anyway. There is high probability for injury if you try to move too much weight too soon, and injury can derail you way worse than having to take a few days off. You probably want to spend at least two months sticking with lighter weights where you can do, like, 20 reps in a set so you can really concentrate on form and getting your body used to the movement and stresses.

Are you seriously supposed to try not to sweat very much in the days following a tattoo? As I said, I don't know much about tattoos, but that sounds like a major limitation!

I'd say it usually depends on how they bandage it up especially. Now they mostly use second skin which is an adhesive that traps everything, including sweat. It's essentially an open wound for the first few days, and later on flakes start falling off which means it's scabbing. I'll talk to my artist today about it just to make sure.

Either way I do have those types of weights where you can change them on the fly. I should probably get around to it. No bench or anything yet though, so will have to save up for one.

I don't think loose skin will be an issue honestly. I am 240 now, but I honestly don't look AS bad, and when I told people my weight they could have swore I was only like 200. I wear size 38 pants which are slightly loose and large shirts. My weight a few years ago was 180, and that was medium sized clothing and size 34 pants. If needed I can take a shirtless pic for you to see but I'd have to PM it.

Heh. I don't think I need to see any shirtless pics. As I said, you know more about tattoos than I do.

What kind of adjustable weights do you have? Spin-locks are annoying, but serviceable, but you might have something a little nicer.

You can do a fair bit with a flat floor with some carpeting and padding, a sturdy chair, and a set of adjustable dumbbells. You can do a lot of great body-weight stuff at local parks and playgrounds, though I'd recommend going early in the morning or at night to avoid children.

If you think you are actually going to start dropping money on equipment, I'd recommend trying to get a short-term gym membership first to get a better sense of whether you're actually going to stick with it.

Talk to someone knowledgeable before you buy any home gym equipment. So much home workout equipment is garbage.

If you're a beginner, Scooby1961 has a lot of good videos demonstrating exercises and giving advice. He's kind of transitioning to becoming a travel vlogger now. He tried to do this first at the start of 2020 before switching back to fitness due to the sudden inability to travel. But he has old stuff from 2010 and earlier that is just him demonstrating exercises and discussing form. There are other good youtube posters (and a lot of garbage), but he particularly targets young beginners who might not have a ton of equipment, so it's really good.

For more calisthenics stuff I'd look at Al Kavadlo.

There are some other people I'd recommend later, but those are good places to start.

To add to Limewater's recommendations, it tends to be best to exercise outside around 6am or so if you have any concerns over pollution or air quality. Once traffic starts kicking up, it can be harder on your lungs.

For me, I use a removable pull up bar and some dumbbells along with a yoga mat and chair. The pull up bar I can also use to do elevated push-ups, though I wear a pair of sturdy gloves to help protect my palms when I do those. For the dumbbells, I can't adjust them to add or remove weight as desired, so yeah, adjustable is definitely preferred.

I exercised quite a bit maybe 5 years ago, but I felt like pull ups, or hell even chin ups, was some obstacle illusion or something because I was never able to do one, even with the resistance band that you attach your leg onto.

Got a new job today working maintenance on campus. Finally free from the throes of unemployment. The unemployment episode of Mission Hill is extremely accurate.

Started selling off the collection on eBay, so after a month I'm quite new and now I get why eBay prices are high lol. Anyway, I sold street fighter zero 3 dreamcast and this clown requests a return because the disc is faulty and he gets a blank screen. I explain he needs a boot disc to play that region on his US dreamcast. He replies I didn't mention that in the listing. Are you that fucking stupid! So I send a screenshot of the ad with tbe region code circled and replied, know what you are buying. Haven't heard back and not sure how this ends up, but my bitch is why doesn't eBay let me reject his return request? It's stupid to have to deal with this shit.

Smile- me and my wife rook my 11 year old daughter whitewater rafting, her first time. Outside chattanooga on the ocoee. Her being only about 65 lbs, I'm surprised her or her oar didn't end up in the water. But it was a fun time and she had a blast.

So my AC crapped out earlier this month, and I had it repaired on the 7th. Capacitor gave out. Then it quit working again last Thursday. Got it repaired this past Monday; the motor on the unit outside was going bad. It quit working AGAIN today. I know repairing a machine is sometimes a bit of trial and error - went through that with my car a few months ago - but damn, it's mid 90s and 70% humidity every single day. I'm DYING without AC here. Please just fix it for good this time, guy. T.T Supposed to have someone coming to fix it AGAIN on Monday.
