Detaching a MdII from a Mega-CDII?

Post by 4ppleseed »

Hi, I just got a Megadrive MkII and a Mega-CD2 from eBay and they are attached. How do I actually release the two consoles from one another? lol

Thanks.

push the MD2 away from the CD tray maybe 1cm then lift it off

the MD2 is held on by a metal plate with tabs that slide into the MegaCD base

the metal plate is held on the MD2 with one screw, if you remove it, keep the metal plate with the MegaCD and the screw with the MD2

what ya pay for it? and did it come with both power units?

hope this helps,

lol... I worked it out eventually, I think I was just being too soft. I'd never even seen a Mega-CD when I was a kid so just didn't know how it worked. I tried and tried to look for a manual for it on the .net but in the end brute force won :)

I got a very good condition Megadrive MkII, the Mega-Cd, all leads (inc 2 power leads) and three games plus postage for just over £20 (about $40).
