Help remembering a SNES game?

My brother was asking me the name of a game we used to play on the snes the other day and I drew a blank, maybe you can help.

It was a 2 player adventure game for the SNES, with an RPG camera perspective, there was magic you could use I think.

This realy isn't a lot to go on, but it's been driving me mad and I can't find much, i'd be eternally grateful for any help

Nah not secret of mana, I think it was an adventure game as i've been going over all the SNES RPG lists I can find on the net and nothing comes up, that and the battle system was SoMesque, but I think it lacked much of a plot/dialogue.

Secret of Evermore? I think you could set up a two-player, where one person controlled the boy and the other controlled the dog.

Well, apparently I missed out on some games then!
I've played and enjoyed the hell out of Mana and Evermore, and even some of Seiken Densetsu 3(I think that's it), so besides the 'Secret of' games what other 2-player RPG/action/adventure titles are worthwhile?
