PC monitor desk mount. Anybody use these?

I've always been intrigued by these monitor mounts. Here's an example of what I'm looking at:

Do any of y'all use these? Seems pretty convenient to be able to adjust the monitor on the fly and have it higher up so your neck isn't tilted down all the time. Do these things work well or do they break after like a month?

My wife and I both have something similar for our dual-monitor work set ups. They rule, and if I were a PC gamer, I’d get them for personal use.

I use one similar to it. They are definitely adjustable, but they're not as smoothly adjustable in the moment. They're better for setting up an arrangement you like and locking it in. If you have a monitor that's on the heavier side you have to tighten things up to make sure it holds, and that can make on-the-fly adjustments a bit difficult. Basically, don't plan on rearranging all your monitors 5 minutes before you need them that way. I'm sure there are more expensive ones that let you move them around with a light touch, but my experience with them is that there are some minor constraints to their functional flexibility. Definitely worth the investment despite some of the issues, though.

I have some and love them. I went with a wall mount for my 27" as it offers more range of options and alleviates some of the issues marurun is speaking of. As usual though, a cheap one will feel and act more cheap and flimsy, whereas your heavier duty mounts will be more sturdy. They free up a ton of desk space which is nice and I like my monitors to be higher than the height of my desk.

I'll definitely look more into these now that I know some have had success with it. My current monitor is still competent (1080p, 24 inch) but it's a heavy sucker. When I get a mount I'll probably look into a newer, lightweight monitor.

I wish I could use something like this, but ASUS decided to use a non-VESA mount for the mx279h.
