Good luck at the new part-time job! Hopefully the foot thing isn't anything serious.Gucci wrote:Just spit out my coffee!
I've been super busy as of late. Took on a second job myself. On top of my career job, I work part time at a local Home Goods.
I haven't worked a retail job in a decade. I hurt my foot which may have been caused by the fact that I am now trying to keep up with 19 years olds at the new job while my 33 year old body who's sat at a desk for those ten years.
But at least I can feed my hoodie habit.

Thanks Note. it's getting better day by day.

Hoodies vary wildly in terms of cut, materials, overall design, and so on. The basic hoodie, such as the one you mentioned REPO, sounds like a super basic hoodie with a screen printed design. basic hoodies with some screen printed design are in essence, the most basic hoodie you can buy, with the only difference being what design is in front (or back). There's nothing wrong with this type of hoodie. But they generally are made cheaply and don't last very long.
When you start branching out into streetwear brands, high end fashion brands, or sportswear brand, that's where things get interesting.
Hoodies that combine two or more types of materials as seen here which is a Sacan Sponge x MA-1 Hoodie that has the cotton part as a cotton/nylon blend which gives it a spongy texture and the interior sides ripped straight form a MA-1 bomber jacket. A cheaper version from a collaboration between Nike and Sacai can be seen here.
Hoodies that are heavy duty such as The North Face Steep Tech hoodie seen here. This one is 100% cotton with ballistic nylon panels in the front and arms.
Hoodies that have an iconic design like BAPE's Shark Hoodie.
Then you have some unique stuff like this Nike Tech Pack Team USA hoodie.
Collaborations are a big part with my favorite coming from CDG Black x Nike Hoodie seen here which has some ink blot designs on the sleeves. Goes well with a vest like this Steep Tech vest.
The point is that you should branch out.
And get a cat for you mouse problem.

I know I'll regret asking, but what does "apparently" mean here? Did you get someone else to dispose of the mouse, and they told you he was living in a farm upstate?REPO Man wrote:Also the mouse apparently is alive and managed to get out of the trap. Besides I'm pretty sure mice carry diseases. Plus I'm going to have to clean my entire place.
Or... did you notice the mouse had been caught, logged on to racketboy dot com to announce that the mouse had been caught, and then went back to doing God knows what, during which time the mouse escaped?
Or... is there a third, even more asinine scenario?
In any case, since you're probably not going to listen to Gucci's good advice, just get some snap traps for next time.

Actually I really prefer he doesn't get a cat at all. As a cat lover myself I shudder at the prospect of REPO getting a pet of any kind. I don't mean to be a dick but I can very much see Switch games being a priority over cat food.

It was alive when I left for work, but now it's gone. Probably eaten by a neighbor's cat or something. Really hoping it didn't find its way back in here.
And Gucci, I've had my hoodie since 2010 and it's still in one piece. Is that good for a $40 hoodie?

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
random thought, who came up with the term hoodie? never heard it used back in the day. thought it sounded dumb when it first started going around.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Good question. I'd imagine it's a shorten word used to refer to a hooded sweatshirt. But in other parts of the world, sweatshirt may be referred to as a jumper or a pullover. So a hooded jumper or a hooded pullover.
I have a tee shirt with a hood on it. I can't really consider that a hoodie.
I've also seen button up shirts with a hood on them. Weird as hell.

I never understood the appeal of pullover hoodies over zippered hoodies. Or the idea of wearing a hoodie when it's not even that chilly out.
Also, my hoodie has this on the back...

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Zipped hoodies are a bit easier to deal with from a layering perspective. Easy on. Easy off.
Pullover's, for me, is a cozier thing to wear. Some argue that pullovers are cheaper and easier to screen print a design on when using the front.
Hoodies are ubiquitous here in the north east during nine months of the year, than shorts are for down south I'd imagine.
Shit's brick outside, my guy.
