Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
A blurb I saw was that Sega is calling it an "open-zone game".

Well... they've done swords before....marurun wrote:The world scenery looks like Sonic: Breath of the Wild for sure. But there's no way the game will actually play anything like it. That would just be... weird.Anapan wrote:Just watched the Sonic Frontiers trailer.
It looks great, but it's so blatantly "Sonic: Breath of the Wild".
I own too many hoodies jackets hoodies and DS games and I’m not ashamed!

And who can forget the time Sonic and a human kissed.
I was playing Geometry Wars 3 on the Vita. I was looking to see if there were any twin stick shooters GW on the Switch. Am I wrong in that there really aren't any?

I played a bit of Tesla Force on my phone, and later found that I bought it on Switch while drunk (my best purchases happen between consciousnesses). No delay in this game that I could feel. I think there's lots of twin-stick games you overlooked.

Soul Knight, but you can get that on your phone and I think it's better. It's pretty rad.

I dont want to open a new thread over this, but is there something like Game Shark for PC Games and emulated ones? There are some games that I would like to go through to experience them I just do not want to actually do the challenges of the game. I would like to have something to enable faster movement, unlimited lives, or invulnerability.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
There are many, actually. I'll list the ones I have experience with:
Back in the DOS days, I used Game Wizard 32
https://anapan.525lines.moe/Game%20Wizard.htm
In Windows 98 & XP times, I used GameWiz32 1.42; 1.43 is here but if it isn't the registered version I can provide the version I used if someone wants it. It still worked in windows 7.

The last few times my nephew needed some help in some games on the computer I found the solutions using Cheat Engine (their forums are full of memory value tables for most windows games)
https://www.cheatengine.org/
All of these work on emulators for their respective OSes, they just search for changing memory values (HP, defense, etc) and can then modify or lock them into a value.
Just be aware that online games will not allow these things. I don't play games online, but I hear you can use a Chronus device for stuff:

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
There was a post about it, but it was right when I registered on this website (almost 2 years ago), so I can't seem to find it. I'm writing my script for the Zelda game ranking project I'm doing, and am currently writing for the first Zelda game. I remember people here saying that there were 2-3 games that kind of did that genre first. What were they? I think Adventure was one of them but I don't remember the rest.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Hydlide and Dragon Slayer are the two most cited as proto-Zelda games.
