Hi all,
Having trouble with my dandelion yellow GBC. It will boot certain games, but others not at all. Specifically, Game and Watch Gallery 2 (GBC) and Rocky and Bullwinkle (GB) will load just fine; but Pokémon Trading Card Game (GBC) won't load past the "GAME BOY (nintendo)" screen.
However, the game works fine on both my pocket and my friend's GBC. Any tips?

If your connectors are a little iffy then you might just be getting lucky unit to unit depending on how the grime on the connectors line up.

Yeah, dirty contacts can be very random. For example, your Pocket and friend's GBC might have a tighter fitting cart slot. Definitely try cleaning the cart and the cart slot. The Gameboy cart slots aren't especially easy to clean without a cleaning tool like the 1-up card.
