Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
just compared some games on C64 and Amiga released 1982 and 1985. That has to be one of the greatest jumps in graphics power. Seems on par with SNES or more released 5 years later in 1990.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I played some Metroid Prime today, to the first save point. I don't think I'll be playing anymore, really not a fan of the controls. I remember not liking them when I first got my gamecube as a kid and eventually got rid of the game. Every time I've tried it since, I've come to the same conclusion.

Have you tried it on Wii with the motion controls? If not, I wonder if you would like that better.

unless my info is wrong.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
The amiga took a while to ramp up… though it can display some pretty images, it takes some manipulation to get around the 8 sprite limit (total, not per-line), and many games lacked music in-game because 4 channels, even nice channels, ain’t a lot. The 1985 lineup of 11 games was also… lackluster.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I did actually play a C64 game recently that was extremely fun and charming called Murder on the Mississippi. I'll do a review on it in a few weeks. I do wanna try more, it's just that a lot of games on it look intimidating.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
My post was a joke. The game I linked to is entitled "1985: The Day After."RCBH928 wrote:Thats c64 released in 1982. I like the idea of RetroArch but I find it very unintuitive. Am I the only one, or is this the general consensus?
