They don't do deliveries on bikes anymore, just e-bikes. So save up enough for two of those, in case your first one gets stolen.REPO Man wrote:I've also been a custodian at Disney World, and a lot of that is more or less what I do as a QA at Food Lion (emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping up messes).
Also, I've got killer frickin calves, so I might not rule out being a bike messenger or do deliveries.

Anyway
I went back to the office this week for the first time in 16 months. My wall calendar was still on March 2020. No dust on the desk. Apparently they were cleaning throughout.
Driving is interesting through. 40 to 50 minutes in the morning, down by roughly 30 minutes from pre-pandemic. Evening commute is a bit disappointing: I clocked it at hour and 20 minutes. 10 minute improvement. I was hoping for more.
Working from home on Mondays and Fridays. Office the other three days.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, REPO!
I hope that you get to do something fun today or, if not today, over the weekend.

Yea my 30th birthday was quite uneventful, but the "I'm getting old" crisis is now gone! It was making me incredibly unstable and even suicidal. Glad that's over.

So it turns out that along with time-and-a-half for working the Fourth of July at Duck Donuts, everyone gets eight hours of pay regardless if they worked that day or not. So between my regular hours, an extra eight hours' worth of pay and time-and-a-half for the Fourth of July, my paycheck from Duck Donuts is a little over a thousand dollars! That's basically an extra $400, give or take.
If I get any cash or Amazon gift cards from my family, I might get a Nintendo Switch. Don't judge me. It's my birthday.
