What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It’s a cool place. I enjoy living here, and it’s very different from NYC. Not sure it’s a major tourist destination, though, unless you plan on enjoying some activities around the city.

That said, shoot me a PM if you decide to come by. I’ll be sure to show you a nerdy good time (i.e., craft beer, dipped chicken, and video game stores!).

I was listening to that song while reading that line.

For one time in my life, the world's finally aligned... :P

If you want extra alignment, I read that quote earlier today about a totally unrelated topic, which got me humming it.

 Wanna start my Riven video next week to continue my Myst series. The script is not even half of the length of the previous one, and the review itself is only like 5 minutes, if that. I've done the script 3 times and that doesn't count the more rough copies, yet I have no idea how to expand it. Riven is more something that should be experienced because of its emphasis on exploration rather than talked about. The one age has a unifying theme, puzzles are simpler, and there's somehow less plot in it than the first one, so what is there really to talk about?

I guess I'll just record it regardless.

Just go for it, PH!

Down the line if other points come to mind, you can always release an updated review vid.

Yeah, record it regardless. If you haven't included it yet, talk about how the plot ties into the wider Myst games, how it compares to others, and how the experience makes you feel. How do the changes with people in the world work for you? That was something that initially bothered me when compared to Myst.

Honestly, Riven was one of the weakest entries for me. I did enjoy part 3 the most because it had the best ages and a pretty great plot. Part 4 was weird because it had the highest highs but two INCREDIBLY annoying puzzles.

Yeah, 3 was my favorite too. And let me guess, did those puzzles involve monkeys? I still need to get around to 5 and Uru one of these days.

Bottom line, do the video. Even if it isn't long, you have a valid opinion worth sharing.
