April 29th 2009

Post by Incognito D »

According to Wikipedia (I know, I know), this Wednesday (the 29th of April 2009) is the exact day when the Big Shell plant chapter from Metal Gear Solid 2 is set.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MGS2#Plant_chapter

Just thought I should bring it to everyone's attention in case anyone wants to play through it on the day, before the chance is lost forever... :o

I will hopefully be doing it, although some university event is happening that day as well so hopefully it won't get in the way.

Now if only it was pouring like in the game and wasn't 80 degrees out. Then at least I would have a excuse to stay in and play. I've been meaning to play MGS2 for some time now.

April 29th will be too busy for me, but yesterday I watched Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 (the preorder bonus that came with MGS4) and it sparked my interest in MGS again. The only one I ever played was Metal Gear Solid 2 and I absolutely loved it. I also own Metal Gear Solid and have Metal Gear Solid 3, but haven't played them yet. I also recently downloaded The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2, so I'll probably browse through that as well. Such a long list of series I want to play/finish...

I tried to play MGS 1 again and it really felt dated. I managed to find the cube remake at the last buy 2 get 1 free at gamestop so next time I have the urge to play the series I can start with that one.

Did anyone keep an eye on the news back on July 24, 1998 for any signs of zombie activity?

I'm still convinced that October 1st, 1997 was the End Day.
