I'd really like to play XI and 98 but I don't feel like putting forth the effort to get XI so I'll get a copy of 98 for my Saturn, shut up and be happy. Btw does 98 Work with the 4MB Cart, I've never gotten a really clear answer on this.

Don't bother get the one for the Saturn, get the one for the Dreamcast (if you have one) but the strange thing is that its titled "King of Fighters 99", it is actually 98, don't let the name fool you. Also, its cheap and it was out in the states

oh i never knew that, cos I was going to myself - 'how can 98 be much better than this' :p

cos everyone was saying 98 was the best...

not to go off topic but then again it sorta is. anyways, anyone heard/try mugen? its nice fighting game engine where u can customize all aspects. my friend made a me a kof setup. she made it quite nice, has all the best characters of all the games in 1. even has the kof xi versions. got it setup on my xbox.

I've messed with that program for years, I thought about creating a series of my own, on the engine..
Such as Guardian Heroes clone, with MAD variations! It will happen..... Someday! :D

isnt too hard. if you take the time to study the code thats used to program for the engine. it isnt too hard. i developed a morrigan edit in the beginning of the year. its a mvc style morrigan with cvs effects. i also edited her moves, taunts, intros and win animations with other noticeable differences. i stopped working on her way back in may tho. i wasnt satisfied with the work i did so i stopped working on her. im gonna reedit her again and make her better once ive settled down with other personal issues. the xmugen setup i have on my xbox has over 1500+ fighters, 800+ stages with a sf3 edit screenpack. it runs quite nice w/ no crashes.

definitely XI, the gameplay is smooth and looks good. Mugen's ridiculous...gotta scroll through 10 pages of ryu clones to get to ken...

I've never really liked KoF, tbh. Too many characters to really choose from. I guess I'll have to download the saturn versions and try it out again. Never liked it on nrx. Then again I always thought street fighter had too little characters, so I guess I'm just too picky. That and I always find that the AI can do too many combos too early on. ya.
