Atari VCS Review
Re: Atari VCS Review
I saw a review a few days ago where someone installed Windows 10 and Steam then showed the hardware playing some games pretty decently. I really like the case and joystick controller.

Great review, I have absolutely no interest in this, but enjoyed reading about it. I actually do plan on going out and buying an Atari 2600 and a handful of games soon(just a few of my childhood favorites) so I can show my daughter what daddy used to play when he was young, before I show her what real gaming is with the NES

And pick up Combat. Teach her the thrill of tank combat.

I still say this is the best local multiplayer game until Goldeneye.Ack wrote:And pick up Combat. Teach her the thrill of tank combat.

Combat, maybe, but I’d take it over Goldeneye any day of the week.ElkinFencer10 wrote:Next to Combat, yes.marurun wrote:

You know what it really needs 1984/2021 “Super Bowl” commercial or tv ads. That’ll give it glory attention.
The Atari VCS looks like a steam machine with raspberry pi. Everyone is in lock down, silence is bliss or everyone is packing since 2020.
It’s the dreaded Atari Curse back again since the 1980s video game crash. Imagine finding Atari games in the Super market bin for a dollar.

Re: Atari VCS Review
It's actually Ryzen APU based, with upgradeable parts. Not a good value for the specs if all you want to do is turn around and install Windows on it... but if the Atari side never pans out, it's trivial to set up as a living room PC with a nice form factor. Apparently can emulate up through PS2/Wii.benderx wrote: The Atari VCS looks like a steam machine with raspberry pi.
