What are you listening to at the present? (genres helpful)

A British version of Serge Gainsbourg talking over a mix of synths and an orchestra.

Sounds like old Gothboi Clique, or SESH stuff like BONES.PretentiousHipster wrote:This might be the strangest hip hop album I've heard in a very long. This is the album cover, and the music is even more strange than the cover implies
It's simultaneously the worst and best thing I've heard.
Listening to the new to streaming daft punk Tron Legacy tracks... 9 got added to spotify under the "complete" version of the soundtrack. Already heard them years ago, they're nice enough but I don't listen to the Tron Legacy soundtrack at all already, so I doubt I'll be returning to these too much. Absolutely love Daft Punk, but I mainly listen to Discovery or Alive 2007 of I want to put them on.

Slowly exploring through more work by The Residents. Didn't expect a band that dresses like this to make such a sad song

Heck yeah, I love The Residents! And their body of work is EXTREMELY varied ranging for kind of goofy weird-for-weirdness-sake to poignant and meaningful.
IMO their best albums are The Third Reich & Roll, Demons Dance Alone, and Sonidos de la Noche: Coochie Brake.

Yea I heard their older stuff before, but I heard It's Metal, Meat & Bone: The Songs of Dyin' Dog last year and it actually was my favourite album of theirs. I started one of their video games and started to check out more of their albums.Nemoide wrote:Heck yeah, I love The Residents!
