I don't know, I put hot sauce on most things. I don't get the mayo thing either, and I'm from the South. I've known a few guys that would eat the shit straight from the jar by itself. Nasty.

Last I heard, Japan's favorite pizza toppings were squid and mayonnaise, so I don't think it's just us...

Mayo works if there's at least 6 other ingredients to drown it out. There's one exception though. I'll make tuna sandwhiches and have no issue with the stuff, as long as I get a little relish mixed in. But on a bare deli-meat + cheese sandwhich, mayo is the last thing I want. Italian dressing rules in this situation.

God damn mayo. I always specifically ask for them to hold the mayo on all my fast food items, because they love to fucking put so much god damned mayo on everything that it oozes all over the damned place. They put a little dab of ketchup on a burger, then they put half a damn bottle of mayonnaise on it. I can't even taste any chicken in a McChicken; the chicken is completely smothered by the insane amount of mayonnaise.

I've also noticed that when I ask for light mayo, they put extra mayo instead.

I work at a sandwhich place called Togos. The Italian doesn't come with mayo. Rather has italian dressing on it.

But lets get one thing straight. I FUCKING HATE MAYONNAISE. Its like somebody jizzed on the sandwhich. And I hate it when people ask for extra. The stuff will kill you.

Anyways I would say go to Togos but looks like you aren't in Cali so... yeah

P.S. Subway is the worst sand which place you can eat at.

Nothing wrong with mayonaise in moderation. With just the meat and bread the sandwhich is often dry. I have been getting more into mustards but still get it with mayo. If the tomatos are good it might make up for it moisture wise, but I haven't really strayed away from the mayo.

I've noticed this too. Thought I was just paranoid.

As for me, on the rare occasions when I do pay for an overpriced italian type sub from wherever, I tell them to throw everything on it. It's all good.
i used to work at our local sandwich place (wawa) and after a while i got tired of the usual... I ended up making some sandwiches that would make most people vomit... meatball hoagie with mayo and honey mustard? love it. in other words, if it's a sandwich, throw it on, i will eat it. No wait, I know someone who puts ketchup on peanut butter and jelly... I take it back, there are some things no one should eat.
