How does the Arcade Archives Contra compare to the version on the Contra Collection?

I don't have the collection, so I can't quite say. I assume it's similar emulation. One version might offer up a few more options than the other.

I have had stacks of PS2 games hiding in my garage for years, so for my birthday I picked up a ps2 and a few games:

Klonoa 2 (which should come in the mail today)
Nightshade
Shinobi (used to own it, lost it when I moved)
Mega Man X8
La Pucelle Tactics
Call of Duty finest hour
Death by degrees (this game sucks but I Nina is my favorite tekken character and the game was dirt cheap)
Sly 3
MDK 2
Pac Man world 2 and 3
Rise to honor
secret agent clank
shadow man 2nd coming
syphon filter omega strain (this was complete trash)

Got a nice juicy cluster of Famicom games. Been a while since I've done this.

Nice. Famicom Fantasy Zone is strong. Quarth is also a really strong NES game.

Flipull! I discovered Plotting in the arcade and the strangely sedate but also pensive music made it oddly compelling.

...September was sort of light but I think that I did alright. I'm pretty geeked about the TurboGrafx 16 Mini and Galactic Attack.

Galactic Attack aka RayForce is one of the greatest shmups of all time. I hope you enjoy it (and can spot the awesome Xevious call back in Stage 4!).
