I have mixed opinions about this. This game helped reinforce my reason for even buying a PS3 because my main reason for getting one is for MGS4, and supporting that game is DMC4, and the former exclusive VF5, and I had a lot more priority placed on VF5. Now that it's coming out for the 360 it kind of nixed my idea and there are only two games I want for the PS3. It's a stroke of bad luck I suppose because I've nearly enough saved up for one but now it doesn't seem worth it at the moment. I planned on owning all three consoles like last gen.
The only way I would feel really good about this is if MGS4 was ported as well. At least then I'd know I would have a really good reason for buying a PS3 for a very long time.

I vastly prefer the PSX controller for fighting games to the 360, however Ill probably get a 3rd party joystick if i do get a 360, so this news, coupled with the rumours about Tekken6, make me very happy indeed, as I dont really want a PS3, I only wanted it for Tekken, if Namco bring SC to 360 too, then thats it - I wont get a PS3 for a long while...
the ONLY thing I can think of that I would want it for then would be the SACD capability (althou I doubt it will be as good quality as a standalone player (but they cost a fortune))

I hope they make SC4 multi platform again. they had a lot more success I believe doing that then releasing it solely for PS2 (as with SC3). Hell, the GCN had the most sales out of all the formats.baphomet_irl wrote:I vastly prefer the PSX controller for fighting games to the 360, however Ill probably get a 3rd party joystick if i do get a 360, so this news, coupled with the rumours about Tekken6, make me very happy indeed, as I dont really want a PS3, I only wanted it for Tekken, if Namco bring SC to 360 too, then thats it - I wont get a PS3 for a long while...

Also, go with DVD-Audio dude. Way better. That and you may be able to get a Sony HTIB (home theatre in a box) that has SACD capabilities as well as a dvd player. That's how my family's one works. I know it's costly to buy another thing, and doesn't have any high quality in's or out's, but you may want to think about that...
