I just went back to play some Hocus Pocus by Apogee, something very pleasant about it being so simple for any one can pick up and play on the opposite of the complex button combinations for a modern FPS. I wonder if this type of games still being released as al games now seem to have some sort of a learning curve. Also something very Amiga-ish about it. There is another game called Babylonian Twins that is very similar to it, I wonder if those have their own genre.
Speaking of Amiga, I don't see much love for retro PC games here except maybe for BoneSnapDeez. Is it because most had a console version? I am under the impression that C64/Amiga had a very loyal fan base and not sure about MSX.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I think there are a lot of retro pc fans here. Most discussion seems to take place in the games beaten threads.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I think MrPopo, Ack, and Fastbilly1 are the ones around here who most regularly dig into retro PC titles. They certainly aren't the only ones.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
That said, I think Bone is the only one really into retro non-IBM-compatible PC stuff.

I hate when I find a game and can’t find much info on it. Usually, I can find an old website, or HG101 article or something, but not for Quo Vadis or its sequel, both Saturn exclusive strategy games. I assume the lack of info and cheap prices means it probably isn’t good though.

Game Sack channel on YouTube is highly underrated even at 250K. Very informative. Feels like a more modern day Computer Chronicles that future generations will use its archives to article research and essays.
