I'm on vacation and my wife and I went to a good will store and I finally found one of those legendary deals that people on the internet always brag about getting. I found a $6 bundle that came with:
Superman 64
Rogue Squadron
Ogre Battle 64
I already own all 3 of these but there was no way I could pass up on that for such a cheap price. The funny thing is this bundle was not with the rest of the video games (which was literally just a shelf of sports and dance games) but it was hidden away on some random display as part of an entertainment center so I guess most people never found it.

Re: Games Acquired 2020
Markies' Games Acquired List Of 2020!
1. Fable: The Lost Chapters (XBOX)
2. Secret of Mana 2 (SNES)
3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest (GCN)
4. Chameleon Twist (N64)
5. Gunbird 2 (SDC)
6. Super Monkey Ball 2 (GCN)
7. Pokemon Snap (N64)
8. Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors (PS1)
9. Batman: The Video Game (GEN)

I added Batman: The Video Game for the Sega Genesis this evening!
Last year, I finally finished Batman on the NES. It was a tough game, but I really enjoyed it and it was one that I have known about for many years. I wanted to continue my Batman journey, so I found that Sunsoft made the next Batman game for the Sega Genesis. It came out in the first two years of the Genesis' life and was close to the NES game. It was still based on the original movie, but it made some differences as well. There are shooter type levels with the Batmobile and the Batwing. It's a game I have never heard of, so I'm willing to give this game a try to see what it is like.

That's amazing you found these titles for such a good price. Rogue Squadron is one of my favorite games on the system, I need to revisit it sometime. If you end up wanting to get rid of one of the Ogre Battle 64 carts down the line, I might be interested.pook99 wrote:I'm on vacation and my wife and I went to a good will store and I finally found one of those legendary deals that people on the internet always brag about getting. That's a great pick-up too. I've wanted this game for a while but missed out on it. I played through the first few levels by emulation and really liked the gameplay and soundtrack. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on it!Markies wrote: 9. Batman: The Video Game (GEN)

Re: Games Acquired 2020
My copy of Shakedown Hawaii for the Wii U arrived in the mail this morning.
. I wasn’t exactly clamoring for a physical release of Shakedown Hawaii on the Wii U, but since I’m a Wii U collector, I picked it up. The fact it exists makes me so happy!
I really wish Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water (Wii U) would get a physical release in North America, but I doubt it will, though. Are there any other Wii U games that really need a North American physical release? (I’m hoping someone from Limited Run Games or one of its competitors reads this thread and makes the games I want!)

...a bit late w/the August stuff but I think I did alright last month. I'm not quite sure how Shmup Collection ended up in that pic though.

21. Mega Man X (SNES)
22. BlackThorne (SNES)
23. Final Fantasy III (SNES)
24. Earthbound (SNES)
25. Axelay (SNES)

Looks like a lot of RB members added great titles to their libraries the past few weeks. I'm also a bit late with my August pick-ups, but here we go!
26. Panzer Dragoon (SS): I actually never experienced this game back in the day, but I'm a fan of on-rail shooters so I finally tracked it down. I'm not too good at the game yet, as I can't get past Episode 4 (excavation site). But the gameplay and soundtrack are amazing. Also scooped an Action Replay, as I don't have the official 1 MB or 4 MB carts, and I only have a JP Saturn, but would like the option to grab US games.
27. Super Smash TV (SNES): This is one of the first SNES games I ever played, (thanks to my cousins letting me borrow it) and I wanted to revisit it. This is the game that made me a fan of twin stick shooters. Still an awesome and hectic game! Can't wait to play it co-op with a friend.
28. Super Mario Kart (SNES): Another title I played at one of my cousin's house and wanted to grab again. Great pick up and play game for the SNES, and one of the two Mario Kart titles I'm actually good at. Lol.
29. F-Zero (SNES): Another title I only played sparingly back in the day, and wanted to finally get a cart to play on my original console and CRT. Also having a fun time with this game, and played through a few of the Grand Prix modes. I'd like to sit down to play through the remaining Grand Prix races.
30. Donkey Kong Country (SNES): Growing up, we had a copy of DKC, but it was my younger sister's copy whose also a SNES fan. When we moved last year, I wanted to make sure she had all her games, so I wanted to get my own copy. One of my favorite platformers on the SNES!
31. Contra III: The Alien Wars (SNES): I remember when my cousins first got this game in 1992. I was a young kid, so this is one of the first games I experienced with creepy enemies and dark music -- it scared the shit out of me but I was intrigued. Lmao. I finally beat the game earlier this summer.
* Also purchased a copy of Zelda: Link's Awakening, but I don't have a Switch. This is a gift for my girlfriend as she has a Switch and is a big Zelda fan. She finished Breath of the Wild earlier this year, so I thought she'd like to try out this title too. She's never played the original Link's Awakening either, so this will be a totally new experience for her.
I always like to show some attention to one of my favorite consoles, the Sega Dreamcast in September, so let's see if I can grab any of the DC items I'm looking for later this month!

Re: Games Acquired 2020
Yesterday, I went to an actual game store for the first time in 6 months, and I picked up a few things:
Bust-a-Move 2 (Gameboy)
Kirby’s Star Stacker (Gameboy)
Power Mission (Gameboy)
Land of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse (Game Gear)
Virtual Pinball (Genesis)
Teddy Boy (Master System)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
With these pick-ups, I now have: (1) all of the portable Bust-a-Move games; (2) all of the Kirby games on the Gameboy; (3) all of the Disney games developed by Sega for the Game Gear; (4) all of the Sega card games Released for the Master System in North America; and (5) all of the major Super Mario Bros. label variants. Very happy to round out these parts of my collection!

I dunno if those categories are specific enough.prfsnl_gmr wrote:(1) all of the portable Bust-a-Move games; (2) all of the Kirby games on the Gameboy; (3) all of the Disney games developed by Sega for the Game Gear; (4) all of the Sega card games Released for the Master System in North America; and (5) all of the major Super Mario Bros. label variants.

Well...I can’t say I have all the Bust a Move games because I don’t have the versions released for the 3DO, GameCube, and Neo Geo, and I cant say I have all of the Kirby games because I do t have Kirby Dreamland 3, Kirby Air Ride, or any of the Kirby games released for the Switch. I also can’t say I have every Disney game on the Game Gear because I don’t have, and don’t want, either The Jungle Book or The Little Mermaid. Finally, I can’t say I have every Mario Bros. label variant because there’re probably some weird “seal of quality” variants I don’t care about floating around out there.
