Point and Click Adventure games

Post by Ack »

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you folks knew places I could find a few of these games I'm looking for, as well as what I need to do to play them. I figure they're old enough, at least one ought to be abandonware by now(heck, some of them are Amiga games).

Bloodnet
Darkseed
Darkseed 2
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream
Neuromancer

Thanks a bunch.

I don't have an Underground Gamer account actually...

Well, I found a version of Darkseed that's compatible with DOSbox, but I'm having some tech issues with it. I can't get audio to work, and it stops working after I make it through the intro screens.

OK so, Dark Seed 1 & 2 were released on PSone in america! Here is a site to download them for windows :)
http://www.abandonia.com/en/search_abandonia/Dark+Seed
You can download both 1&2, they may require DosBox

Bloodnet:
http://www.abandonia.com/en/search_abandonia/Bloodnet
Again, may require DosBox

I could not find a download for I have no mouth and I must scream...
I googled it, everywhere said you have to buy it... Well enjoy Dark Seed
and Bloodnet.

Ohh Neuromancer is protected by the ESA, so you can't download it!
Anymore classics games you want, here is a good site
http://www.abandonia.com/

Enjoy :)
Life is as good as your game!

Awesome, thanks very much! I didn't realize Darkseed had seen a PlayStation release here in the states. Learn something new every day, I suppose. Thanks for the site as well.

Anybody have any idea why Neuromancer is protected? It's not because of its relation to the book property, is it?

From what I could find, it is owned by Vivendi Universal and they are a huge proponent of the ESA. And it really boils down to that.

Glad I still have my copy.

Wasn't Darkseed that game famous for being so Sierra-like and throwing unwwinnable situations all the time for no reason?

Looks cool however.

That's about right. These are fantastic games you're looking for, but they're also totally broken and products of their time.

SCUMMVM supports I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream now, by the way, and if you really have no luck in finding a place to nab it, Harlan Ellison still sells it from his site, I believe.

It's also notorious because much of the design was by the artist H.R. Giger.
