lol

I'd pop in there on rare occasions, usually via a link posted here or elsewhere, and the whole site felt like a "how many NES games do you own??" dick-measuring contest. Such bland discussion.

Has anyone ever had Ballz graded?

They were useful if you needed some bizarrely obscure question about some weird-ass variant cartridge answered or something of that nature. Not great company for actually talking about games though. I really don't get how it's fun for people to collect for the sake of having a bigger or "better" collection than everyone else. Sounds stressful and wasteful.

I agree, I never understood people collecting to try and get a complete set of anything. Full collections are particularly weird because of the huge amounts of shovelware that exists, especially on popular systems. PS2 may have tons of amazing games but it also has tons of utter and complete garbage. I personally collect for the wii, and I couldnt imagine actively seaking out games like my horse and me and we cheer just for the sake of completing an arbritary set. Even though I know I will never play every game I own, I like to think that I am at least interested in every game I own, minus random games that I get in bundles.

But whats the fun in a fake win, thats like getting a PhD when you submit someone else's dissertation. I understand if there was some sort of a prize, but for free....?

But what if all the games are numbered, like Arcadia 2001 or Namcot Famicom games? How can you NOT get all of them?!

Whenever I discover a numbered set of retro game carts it's like:

Games 1-10: $2 each
Games 11-20: $15 each
Games 21-25: $250 dollars each

There's a few copies on ebay for around $50. Add about $40 for the grading/shipping and you'll have the worst investment in your entire life.
