This looks like Dark Souls in Japan, sword fights looks a lot of fun and fits right in with our talks on the movies thread. I am so out of touch of modern releases, videogames history has a ton of games that doesn't really make you look forward for new releases.

Nah that is Ni-oh. Combat aside. The game is closer to Assassin's Creed.

So like after 10 years of owning it I started playing Torchlight. Given that I played Diablo recently I found myself right at home. This game was so highly reviewed at release and I was not disappointed. It's negatives is that it carbon copies Diablo which should be a negative when criticising games, on the other side there are many improvements that show they actually gave it a thought. The other issue I have is that I personally I hate the art style which I call the "Fortnite" art style.

They made something to the Diablo formula that made is extremely addictive, I am guessing: 1-easier to navigate dungeons 2-faster leveling up 3-easier difficulty/faster progressing.

Wouldn't quite label Nioh as that either, as it's also very Ninja Gaiden in combat with a modest helping of Diablo for loot/game structure. Definitely goes in the same box as Dark Souls, but it does a lot to stand on its own merits as well. Sekiro also does a bit to differentiate itself, though probably skews a little closer.

The style obviously predates Fortnite by a lot

A big consideration for Torchlight is that it was designed by some of the same folks that designed the first couple Diablo games. So, while they clearly set out to make something similar, they weren't really copying from others.

Another to consider if you like those is Path of Exile.

Even as FF has gotten more and more realistic in its portrayal of human beings and their anatomy, it has shied further and further away from saying anyone actually did it, on-screen, straight-up the way FF6 had the guts to do.

See, when a mommy and daddy fly through the ceiling, the lights go out, and they each release a tiny sparkly star, and the two stars become one, and they make a baby, and that's where babies come from! :) And, tame as it is, this is as far as FF is willing to go in saying anyone 'did it.' FF7 has a freakin' brothel for goodness' sake, but still never just comes right out and says "and then these two characters got busy."

FF6 is cool with it. "Yep."

well obviously, since Torchlight predates Fornite by 8 years I just don't know what its called. Someone of the forums here explained it to me previously, it might be you I just forgot what they refer to it as.

I never understood people who cheat in competitive games, it beats the whole purpose of it. The only fun side of it that I see is that they get a kick of frustrating honest players who don’t know why they keep losing. Videogames bullying if you may…

If the only goal for those people is to win then cheating is just another advantage they can bring to bear.

Yup, lagswitching used to be a huge problem in online street fighter (might still be I havent played in a long time), used to piss me off to no end, and I cannot understand the mentality of someone who would do that. Personally, when there was a match with legit lag and I won, I took absolutely no pride in it, just felt like a shallow waste of time.
