An Enix gem that no one seems to know about. Better than the Fire Emblem games for the NES in my humble opinion. And guess which title realized an enduring franchise...

I'm still trying to track down a complete Just Breed on eBay. Can't read Japanese, but I want the cart in my best classic games collection.

That game looks effing rad. I think those late gems that come out are usually the best games.

I think that Beyond the Beyond was a solid RPG for PS1 that got lost in the slew of FF's, Personas, and other well known titles of the time.

On the Playstation, check out Alundra if you're into Zelda-Esque Rpg's, and koudelka for an interesting JRPG with stratagy elements set in the shadowhearts universe.

NES, check out Faxanadu, although I'm not entirely sure that's uncommon.

I second the notion on Beyond the Beyond. Same team that did Shining Force, I believe. I enjoyed it quite a bit, just keep in mind it does have a reputation for being the worst rpg on the PSX. (Which I wholeheartedly disagree with.)
