Street Fighter Alpha 2 Ps1
Street Fighter Alpha 2 Ps1
Is SFA2 psone any good? I played it briefly didn't seem very different from the saturn version. I may deviate from being a saturn owner if that's the case. It doesn't seem to use the 4mb ram cart I have from vampire savior. I think only sfa3 uses the ram cart.
Re: Street Fighter Alpha 2 Ps1
SFA1 on the Saturn is slightly more arcade accurate than the PSX version but they are very, very similar.
Re: Street Fighter Alpha 2 Ps1
I'm not sure but from what I've heard/read before is that the Saturn version of all Street Fighter Alpha games is superior. I know that Saturn version of all 3 loads faster.
Street Fighter Alpha3 (zero3) for Saturn is far superior than Street FIghter Alpha 3 for the PS1 in every aspect that i can think of. I own both.
So i cant believe that any of the PS1 versions of SFA is better than Saturn versions.

Nah i wouldnt think it'd be better, but i've seen some awful ps1 ports, just checking if the game is any good at all on ps1. If there were any big changes etc.

Re: Street Fighter Alpha 2 Ps1
Sfa3 on ps1 is almost as good as the saturn version, but alpha 1 and alpha 2 were definitely inferior on ps1. You are right about the ram cart, only alpha 3 uses it in that series. And why deviate from being a saturn owner over sfa2 lol? Why not just use both? Saturn kicks massive amounts of ass.

Street fighter alpha 3 is still awesome for the PS1.
Re: Street Fighter Alpha 2 Ps1
There's always Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the SNES!
Ok, so it's obviously inferior to the Saturn version, but it's still impressive they managed to do it at all.

Leave it to Ack to mention SNES version of SFA2 or any SNES fighter.Ack wrote:There's always Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the SNES!

On the subject:
Keep your Saturn, for 2d fighters... there is NO... even remote competition. Saturn is THE system to have for 2D fighters, from the controller to the title selection... simply amazing, arcade perfect experiences. SFA2 does not use the ram cart... but it looks like it does with just about SFzero3 level graphics and no real loading time to speak of.
I cannot stresss enough how fantastic and necessary of a system the Saturn is for any 2d fighter!
Re: Street Fighter Alpha 2 Ps1
Alpha 2 on PS1 has slightly longer load times, thats the only huge difference i know of
