Probably just season 1 or something then (or perhaps the entirety of the series that aired in Japan?) and a misread on my part. I wanna say what was there was like 4 discs and 25 episodes? I didn't take too close a look since it was so out of my price range XP. That said, I've seen the complete TV series (50 episodes each) of the original Gundam and Gundam Zeta for 2000 yen EACH, so prices like that for 100+ episodes of TV on LD isn't exactly unheard of around here.
I think it's more so that people here a bigger culture around taking care of their possessions, rather than literally treating retro tech as modern technology. There's a big culture of recycling and refurbishing here, so people tend to take care of older tech and then take it to a recycle shop when they're done with it (rather than throw it away).
That is seriously cheap especially considering LDs are collectables and has antique value. I would imagine it would be even more expensive in Japan since I heard Tokyo is like the most expensive city in the world. I did once heard some time ago that LDs prices fell down to $1 a disc or less, which is extremely attractive, but I think they picked up a little as they got rarer and more people paid attention to the dying format. I don't think DVDs fell to $1 a disc but who knows.
Your comment about Japanese culture taking care of old tech and recycling it made me for some odd reason remember those guys who buy brand new PS3 and smash and put it YouTube. Thats some serious difference in mentality.
Actually having a good bit of luck getting retro stuff on the cheap during quarantine, got a boxed Lion King Genesis + games for 60 and getting some more consoles Tonight for 60 too. Will definitely help with trading and stuff.

Not sure how long this has been a thing, but I just realized that you can SCROLL DOWN while YouTube is in fullscreen and view the comments and suggested videos.
There are many times where I would stumble upon a movie on Netflix and think "Awesome! They have Lord of the Rings for FREE on here?!" then I remember its a 20 year old movie.

There are many times I stumble upon a movie on NetFlix and think, "Awesome! They have this movie?! I'll put it on my list and watch it sometime." Then when I'm finally in the mood to watch it, it's no longer available.
If I keep getting lucky buying lots this week, I might eventually be able to afford a complete set of virtual boy games. I feel bad about reselling finds, but all the money I make goes into a fund just for my collection so I feel it evens out. How do you guys feel about reselling stuff you got on the cheap? Do you pocket the money or earmark it for more games?

2 times I started watching a movie and it was taken out about the next day, Val Helsing and A Bug's Life.
