Some of us were joking about Super Baseball 2020 when the year began, but I just realized..... with the baseball season put on hold, maybe this was the plan all along -- we were meant to play an electronic version, robots and all, to bring us into the future!
(we need an online-powered remake!!!)
It happens to be one of my favorite Genesis sports games: https://www.racketboy.com/retro/the-bes ... ga-genesis
While there is an SNES version, I strongly suggest either the Neo-Geo original or the Genesis/Megadrive port. If you're curious, you can see a port breakdown from Retro Core's video

I would be all for the MLB fielding robots this year to make this game a prophetic reality.

I've actually never tried Super Baseball 2020, I gotta check out the Genesis version. At first glance, the graphics remind me of Basewars for the NES, another cyborg baseball game. Lol.
Hopefully we can get some MLB games in later this year.

This sounds like a blast. Does it compare to Baseball Stars 2? Going to give it a try today.

Some years later they can make a movie about this, A League of Their Own 2. The first movie was about women playing baseball when all the men were off at war. The sequel is about robots playing baseball when all the humans are practicing social distances during the pandemic.
