What happens to VC games...

Yes, you have to re-buy everything, unless you send your wii into Nintendo for repairs. Which you cannot do if you used the backup loader, homebrew channel, freeloader, cracked VC games or whatever. (for the record, I only really use emulators and MPLAYER on the Homebrew Channel, and freeloader for Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, Captain Rainbow, and my US version of brawl)

So, when/if my Wii breaks, my plan would be to find a wii with downgradable firmware (hurrah for pawn shops), downgrade to 3.2 to do all the needed prep, and be straight back on 4.x with all of my illegally downloaded VC wads of the games that I paid for. Because there's no way in hell I'm buying ANOTHER £100 worth of points to re-download all those games. Not even Secret of Mana, even though I'd happily buy it twice, in the hope they'd get the hint and release Evermore and Seiken Densetsu 3 on there.
