What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Nice. A crappy 2 bedroom where I'm moving is 3 times that.

Wish it was that cheap here. The college inflated prices so much you are really hard pressed to find a one bedroom for less that 650$.

In my city the standard price of a 2 bedroom is like $1400...
Funny that we're talking about this now. I am a far left person and somewhat of an SJW, but I've just heard one of the dumbest things (this is relevant). My partner and a roommate are getting kicked out of where they live in the summer. Why? Because they're white, and white people as a race are evil (kind of true tbh for their past), and because of that they don't wanna live with white people anymore. This makes no sense. If they think this, then why move in with white people in the first place?
I was planning to move in with my partner soon anyways, so this is not the worst, but still this is all so strange. We've decided to take the roommate with us because she moved here from another city specifically to live in that place, and she has nowhere to go, and is best friends with my partner anyways.
I need a den or another bedroom for a media room, and the average rent for this is around $1800-2000.
Moving in was delayed until January so I was planning to get a tattoo every 2 months and a new PC, but I guess those will be delayed. I'll still get the tattoo I booked for the 25th though.

Let's not go down the rabbit hole into discussions on race. That's one of those generally taboo topics, here. Too much danger, unless we're specifically talking about representation in games and gaming.

There is not as much of a taboo here in Canada (I know in America it's quite big. I follow it closely), but indeed there's still some issues here. Sorry for bringing it up.

I just do wanna quickly mention before stopping this topic that the other roommate that's getting kicked out is an unemployed trans woman. The optics of that isn't a good look at all.

I went to put my Kiki’s Delivery Service DVD into the Blu-ray player to introduce the film to my son. I see the Blu-ray logo and then... nothing. Black screen. Disk spins a bit, but no player or DVD menu. Disc will eject ok and the TV is getting some kind of signal down the line. I give it a bit longer to work on the disc. Now it won’t eject the disc using the remote or the button on the unit. Have to power it off and back on just to get the disc out. This barely-used Sony lasted about 3.5 years, and that’s a real disappointment. Trying to decide what affordable Blu-ray player is worth the expense now that THE big name in the tech has let me down with a poor quality product.
