If Your Stranded on a Desert Island...

Post by All Hail The New Flesh »

...Which console and game should you take. The only rules I could think of is that you can only pick one console and one game.

Anyway, if I could pick one console I would pick a Dreamcast and for one game I would pick NesterDC. The reason I pick DC and NESDC because I don't to spend the rest of my life blowing on the cartridges just to get the games to work. If not NesterDC, I would pick Shenmue

Do I have an internet connection or not? =D

If not, a Genesis and Shadowrun would be my system and game of choice.

Do we have power on the island?

Right now I would say my DS and Clubhouse Games...
Dreamcast and NesterDC is kinda cheating :)

This is actually very tough. PCs don't count do they?

I'd take an xbox w/ PS/2 mouse and Keyboard adaptor, DOOM3, and an SED HDTV :D I have no idea how I could get it powered though. how big is the island? I'm going to need a lot of solar panels!

Oh, and DOOM3, cuz DOOM3 is awesome and includes Ultimate DOOM, DOOM2, and I believe Plutonia and Evilution! :D That and on my HDD (750GB w/mod chip and fans galore!) I have basically every xbox game and all the emulators and roms I can fit

You did say console and a game, so that counts! 8)

Xbox..

A PC with controller ports and a custom OS based off of the XP kernel where 90% of the games for it are also on PC.

I just prefer my PC. The only reason I'd want a 360 right now is so I won't have to have to go through the bs to partition my HDD and install vista on it just to play the newest PC games.

well, considering all the emulation on xbox, i'd tend to disagree, considering he didn't say we could do PCs. Of course a PC would be better, considering with it, you can pretty much emulate everything with it.

But with only a console, N64 and PS1 emulation, along with a buttload of PC games, etc. Ya, I would take an xbox with me. Oh, and the ports are technically usb. That's why you can make an xbox to usb cable with an extension cable for a controller. Just sayin'...

Ok... this sounds really tacky I know. Especially seeing as I am a HUGE Sega fan...

but for the past year the game I've played the most is on my GP2X and it is Tetris on the GPFCE emulator while sitting on my toilet. Seeing as the fruits on this island most likely will upset my stomach I'll be sitting a REAL LOT!

GP2X and Tetris is my answer.

remember he said one system and ONE GAME. Yeah the GP2X, Dreamcast, XBOX, PCs and several other hardware play emulators... but an emulator is useless with out games!
