Re: Games Acquired 2020
GOG had a valentine's day sale. Although Magna Cum Laude was one of the worst games I've ever played (will try to get my review up in 2 weeks or less), the entire old series was for like $3 CAD. Also decided to get a sex game called Lula: The Sexy Empire cause I have a morbid curiousity.
Some stuff came in the mail that I purchased last month. Ace Combat 5. Never played an Ace Combat game before and am looking forward to it. Also the big box copy of Obsidian with the strategy guide for $20 USD. I did a review on it recently. A myst clone that's even better than myst.
I did end up getting a Saturn from the link pierrot gave me (thanks!). Also ordered the pseudo saturn so I can try stuff out before I eventually buy them, or just head straight to the expensive games. I might use that cartridge to finally play my first shmup. Radiant Silvergun looks great. Also have another PS2 game in the way.
Next purchase I'll make is the flash cart for Genesis mid march. Money is an issue now because I'm saving up for moving out with my partner after I had to move back in during my worst mental breakdown. Buying a kallax shelf and will put a console and the wires in each one, and three bookshelves for games since I ran out of space. Then a computer desk. First thing I'll get end of march/beginning of april is a used gaming pc. I can get one for around $900 CAD that can play the latest games and has 16 GB of ram. Video editing lags on this computer, and recording Anachronox resulted in 75% of my CPU being used with the recording and a laggy output. The game is almost 20 years old...

Re: Games Acquired 2020
The Kim Possible PS2 game came in. Seen it praised here so I'm quite curious to play it.
The Sega Saturn came in too. It has Daytona USA, Virtua Cop, and the Alien Trilogy. I'll try out Daytona USA soon. Waiting for the pseudo saturn to come in the mail.
At the end of March there will be a marketplace for geek stuff. The best video game store in my city will be there so I'll bring some money and hope they have some gold there.

Markies' Games Acquired List Of 2020!
1. Fable: The Lost Chapters (XBOX)
2. Secret of Mana 2 (SNES)
3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest (GCN)
4. Chameleon Twist (N64)

I added Chameleon Twist for the Nintendo 64 yesterday.
I don't know if I have an exciting story for this one. All of the games that I bought in person have been added. I beat three games, so I went to ebay and picked up this one.
The main reason I picked it up is I watched the My Life In Gaming video on it and the game seemed really interesting. I'm running low on Nintendo 64 games to purchase and this seemed like a fun one that I had never played before.

Re: Games Acquired 2020
Games Acquired:
January:
Kuukiyomi: Consider It Switch eShop - £2.49
The Firemen SNES - £76.31
Total: 2 games - £78.80
February:
World of Goo Switch - £34.19
Beat Saber PSN (PSVR) - £24.99
Total: 2 games - £59.18
Not been buying too many games this year. Kuukiyomi was cheap on eShop, Beat Saber was bought to play with friends who were visiting, and World of Goo is an indie favourite I was keen to own in physical form when it became available.
The Firemen was a game I really splashed out on, and is one of my most expensive purchases so far. I bought it for my Together Retro month in February.

2020 pick-ups:
1. Gunstar Heroes (Sega Genesis)
2. Lightening Force (Sega Genesis)
3. Comix Zone (Sega Genesis)
4. The Ninja Warriors (Super Nintendo)

February game pick-ups!
5. Golden Axe - I was on a beat 'em up binge in January, and had access to this game through the 6-Pak cartridge since 2000, but wanted to add the original game to my collection. I beat the game with the cart, using the dwarf character -- he's definitely my favorite in the game because of the roll move. I never owned a copy of the sequel, so I'd like to track that one down eventually too.
6. Beyond Oasis - I originally played this game using an emulator back in 2007, but didn't finish it. In January, I finally completed this game using the Sega Genesis mini. The battery save still works, and I'm looking forward to playing through this one again down the line. It took a while for me to find this in good condition at a reasonable price, as most of the copies I came across had busted boxes.
7. Rocket Knight Adventures - After playing through a few RPGs and beat em ups to start the year, I wanted to pivot to a different genre, so I didn't burn myself out on those styles of gameplay. I plan on playing through a few platformers in the next month or two, so this game's on my list to complete -- I never played it when it was originally released but I thought the graphics were impressive and the gameplay looked great too. I've played through the first few levels, but haven't got too deep into the game yet. Hopefully I can beat it within the next few months.
