I have 3 dreamcast starfire lightguns that i recently pulled out of storage to participate in this go around of together retro. As we were playing, i noticed that all three guns shot hard to the left of their target. Compensating for this can get annoying...
I was just wondering, is there an adjustment or calibration...
Also, i have a trinitron flat tube television, does that affect the accuracy of it at all?

Re: Dreamcast Starfire lightgun help
I'm no expert but I'd bet it is your tv throwing them off.
Re: Dreamcast Starfire lightgun help
that's interesting. I know that the guncon 2 has a targeting thing before the games start to help correct problems. I'm assuming that none of the lightguns for dc have this?
Consoles:GB, Virtual Boy, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Sega Genesis+32x, Sega Saturn, Sega Sports Dreamcast, PS2+HDD+HD Advance, Xbox, XBOX 360
Re: Dreamcast Starfire lightgun help
none of the DC lightguns were all that accurate.
as long as your TV is a CRT it should be fine. Try recalibrating over and over.

Re: Dreamcast Starfire lightgun help
well i know house of the dead 2 had a gun calibration option.
i own the same light gun
and if you use the calibration settings it becomes pretty damn accurate
but sadly it's not too accurate by default
i'd have to assume most games would have to have similar options
so i'd start looking through the options menu
