I know this isn't what this site is about, but i don't go to many forums, so unfortunately you guys have to live with my crazy question.
Every so often i remember a fairytale video that i saw when i was little. I can't find the VHS anymore, and i can't find any mention of the fairytale anywhere. I've asked multiple forums over the years, and so far no one else has heard of it either. So now it's your turn. Anyway, the video went like this.
A man was just waking up and sitting down to breakfast. He has a soft boiled egg sitting on the holder, and he grabs his spoon to break it open. As he starts to tap on the egg, he hears someone knocking on the door. He stops to listen, but whoever it was must have gone away because they stopped knocking. He goes back to tapping on the egg and puts a dent in it. Just then part of his roof caves in. This scares him and he jumps from the table. He pokes the roof a bit with the end of a broom, and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse, so he goes back to his breakfast. Eager to eat his breakfast before his roof falls on top of him, he stabs the egg with his spoon and breaks off the top part of the shell. Suddenly his whole roof flies off his house. A giant spoon then comes in from the now open ceiling and scoops the terrified man up never to be seen again. The End.
Any ideas what this story is what video i was watching?

That sounds like Dumbo. I could be mistaken about that, though.

I'm not expecting anyone to know the real answer, but i ask anyway. Maybe i'll get lucky one of these days and someone else happened to see that same crazy video.

Wow, that video reminds me of that old nightmare fuel Sesame Street short "Crack Master".

I remember that Killing of an Egg movie isiolia posted used to be shown on Nickelodeon in the 90s.

That must have been where i saw it. My memory must have just lumped it in with old Mother Goose VHS videos i watched as a kid. No wonder i could never find it. i was looking in the completely wrong place. I always thought it was a bit dark for Mother GooseNemoide wrote:I remember that Killing of an Egg movie isiolia posted used to be shown on Nickelodeon in the 90s.

Yeah, I totally saw that short on Nickelodeon back in the day. In fact, I think I asked about it on the forums here a few years ago, same as this thread here.

Yeah, it reminds me of something I saw on Nickelodeon when I was a little boy. I remember it differently, but that may just be the flawed memory of a child.
