I will take time out of my day to print and mail out math worksheets. You can sit inside safe from any shark attack.marurun wrote:What if you love math but are afraid of sharks? What then, eh?!?!

Pretty sure the theme is "launch titles" and not "Atari launch titles."opa wrote:Launch games is winning?? Why play Basic Math on Atari when we could be hunting Jaws!
Even I do not possess a copy of Basic Math.
Re: Vote for September's Together Retro!
I could probably use some math worksheets anyway. I'm just getting dumber as I age, some math might sharpen me up.
Anyway, I voted Back to School and Ready to Launch.

Ready To Launch wins it, kids. I'll be honest... I thought that one would come in last. Ha!
This gives us a couple of weeks to decide what we'll be playing.

You love to see it.
Here are some ideas I'm tossing around (sticking to North American launch titles, as I am North American).
Atari 2600
Air-Sea Battle
Combat
Street Racer
Intellivision
Armor Battle
ColecoVision
Cosmic Avenger
NES
Gyromite
Ice Climber
Super Mario Bros.
Wrecking Crew

Re: Vote for September's Together Retro!
games I'm considering (that I already own)...
NES
Clu Clu Land
Pinball
Super Mario Bros
Genesis
Space Harrier II
Altered Beast
Alex Kid Enchanted Castle
But more than likely, I'll focus on two old favorites:
Super Mario Land (GB)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (GBA)
NES
Clu Clu Land
Pinball
Super Mario Bros
Genesis
Space Harrier II
Altered Beast
Alex Kid Enchanted Castle

Super Mario Land is so good. One of the best launch games out there.
Re: Vote for September's Together Retro!
These days, you see all the love for Super Mario Land 2, but I have no nostalgia for that game. I had Super Mario Land as a youngster, so that's what I played. It's inferior in almost every way to 2, but I'll always like it more.

Re: Vote for September's Together Retro!
same here. I didn't play SML2 until like 2009 or so, and when I did I was like "yeah, this is impressive. This is good." But I still revisit SML1 more often and have way more love for the original myself.Ziggy587 wrote:These days, you see all the love for Super Mario Land 2, but I have no nostalgia for that game. Same here, I didn't play 2 until more recently. Also, I didn't have many GB games when I was young. So the few that I did have I played a fuck ton of.
