Totally true for ITG/DDR.

Unfortunatedly Stepmania doesn't work well for PIU. En PIU you don't have a life bar, you pass a song once you get a 85% on it. Also freeze arrows increase your combo the longuer they are and depending on each freeze arrow. For example the freeze arrows in Chimera increase your combo by 30 per second more or less while in Hot the will only give you 1 per second at most. Prex 3 Hacks while somewhat crude are the way to go.

Yeah, Join the Party is a song which becomes completely trivial on Stepmania. The entire song is played with a freeze on the center pad and you hitting everything around it. So if you step off you quickly get your bar nuked. On Stepmania you get a quick hit at the beginning and can ignore it from then on.
