I know I said i wouldn't play any JRPG's this year, and I haven't I promise! Well if you don't count Pokemon Let's Go as one, or Penny Arcade Episode 3. But I'm definitely not playing Tales of Phantaisa this year, I just got it for the future, since believe it or not, I haven't played a single game in the Tales series and I figured I started from the first.

Though there's one officially localized version of Phantasia for the GBA, is not the best version and there's competent fan translations for both the SNES original and the PS1 release, the PSP version is the best, but it has no localized fan sub.

So I settled for the PS1 release because well, any excuse to play another JRPG for the PS1 (eventually) and it was also cheap enough to excuse the expense at a time where my gaming funds are in a bit of a hold.

KHOLAT I don't even know what is about, I got it for free sometime earlier this year, some promotion or something, don't even know what genre it is, first person something or other (not shooter or I'd be allover it already).

Grid 2 was given for free like a week ago or something like that, I'm not big on racing sims, and despite adding racing games specifically in my gaming diet this year, Grid 2 won't be one of them, I have to ease myself in racing sims and see if I can get me to stomach them.

I got a free code for Penny Arcade Episode 3 from a member here, and I already started playing it. I'm still on Shenmue and Let's Go, but this game is a nice distraction from those two games I've been essentially playing for months now.

I've already burned an English patched copy of Phantasia and tested it out on my PS1, but it had some issues with skipping during the anime intro and voice sequences, also a weird distortion effect at the top of the screen while in the village at the start (but not in the world map). I'll check the Japanese original copy when it gets to me for a comparison, in case my disc drive decided to go bad the moment I tried to play a burned game with it, but most likely, I just need to burn it at a slower speed (did 4x).
