I always forget there was a Suikoden game on DS. Was it any good?
Is a mediocre JRPG and a bad Suikoden game.

I was the first game in the series (and the only, other than a PSP game that never got localized) that dropped the series's long established mythos, for what was essentially, a crappy reboot. It retained the 108 Stars of Destiny and the War dynamic, but added a nonsensical plot line about alternate dimensions (that were touched upon in the main series, but in a better way).

It also changed the party from 6 members to 4, from what I remember, and dropped the Runes (that no longer existed in this rebooted world) for a new crappier magic system.

The game will mostly be remembered by those who played it (like me) for its terrible and cringy voice acting, the main character voice still makes my skin crawl all these years later.

I'm still discovering new Wiiware titles. Forcing Dolphin to 240P makes all of the retro-type games look perfect, even some that would normally interlace.

@noise

I have a copy of Wacthmen for the PS3. I haven’t played it yet, though. The PS3 physical release is a really an odd duck. It is a compilation of two games initially release digitally; it was packaged in a cardboard case with a sleeve; and it included a Blu-Ray copy of the director’s cut of the movie. Although it’s not worth a whole lot, it’s pretty rare, and finding a complete copy in good condition was pretty tough.

April 2009 flashback...

(insert wavy screen wipe)

I've never heard of Ninja Blade. Apparently a From Software game. Hmm.

Um... y'know what? April, 2009 wasn't exactly full of notable releases.

Nintendo Power was hyping Pokemon Platinum, though.

And Game Informer was all about Bioshock 2.

We should never speak of this "game" ever again.
