Ninja Spirit is one of the best 8- or 16-bit ninja games money can buy.

Classic Irem goodness. Contra Hard Corps. isn’t too bad either. Also...I am insanely jealous of that Zellers Atari game. So, so cool.

My video game hunting this past weekend resulted in some random games getting added to my collection:

Hello Kitty’s Cube Frenzy (GBC)
King Kong (2600)
The Mummy (GBC)
Street Fighter II (GB)
Ultimate Winter Games (GBA)
Vampire Master of Darkness (GG)
Wings of Fury (GBC)

The Mummy (GBC) Was developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Nagoya, the team that also developed Castlevania Legends. While Castlevania Legends is pretty bad, I read that the studio really got its act together later on, and The Mummy is a testament to that. For a throwaway licensed game on the GBC, it’s shockingly good. (I’ve read The Grinch (GBC), which they also developed, is supposed to be really fun too.)
