Simple enough premise: a catch-all thread to hype up your ongoing favorite 2019 games. This includes new ports/remakes/expansions/whatever-you-want released in 2019. Use it as a spot to chronicle whatever cool games from this year that you're into. Show pics, tell us why it's awesome and we should play it.
Lightseekers is a f2p card game on Switch (and mobile last year) based on a real world card game. It plays a bit like Hearthstone etc, but has some unique mechanics. The real interesting thing is that you can buy real world Lightseeker cards and scan them into your digital collection. Or you can decide not to and just do daily challenges or win matches to buy digital cards with in-game currency.
Tetris 99 is the Tetris game you didn't know you needed in your life until it existed. It is BRILLIANT. Ninety-nine people play Tetris until there is only one player left standing. Amazing.

You speaketh the truth! I have already put in about 5 hours into this... Almost to level 20. No wins yet but I've made it to 2nd place 3 times and 4th place a bajillion. My regular spot is somewhere in the top 10 with some outlying losses out in the boonies. The game has a ton of strategy because you can select who you target and can have your lines do more damage with more medals you complete by ko'ing players. It is insane!

I'm surprised how little I've seen Left Alive talked about- it's essentially Metal Gear Solid in the Front Mission Universe. It's often compared to "a budget PS2 game", so I'm SUPER excited about it.
I've been playing a bit of Gems Of War on Switch this week. It's a new F2P puzzle game thing. It's made by the folks who made the Puzzle Quest games. So similar mechanics. There's apparently P2P battles which I haven't tried yet - I believe you have to do some solo quest stuff to unlock that feature. Anyway, it seems pretty good so far, but I'm not exactly sucked in either. Still, I'm a fan of puzzle games, and always glad to get some extra free games.
