OMG Links Awakening looks amazing.

And Tetris 99 is brilliant.

I don't know if I've ever been so elated and then crushed by anything like the Link's Awakening reveal. Remake of the best in the series!

And then I see that art style. Listen, if you like it, that's fine, but I find it very unappealing. I'm not saying it has to be "mature", but I'd rather it not look like it's for babies, either. The music was also bleh. I'm sure it will play fine, but man... just not feeling it.

I am guessing you don't like wind waker then? That is a silly statement to say the game looks like it's for babies.

The 3D art style of Link's Awakening looks like the photos from the original GB game:

Wind Waker has a style that I grew to love, or at least appreciate. This looks more... toy-ish. Like a child's playset. Some of the framing implies that's the look they were going for, as well. I don't care for it, because for me, as someone pointed out elsewhere, it doesn't seem to fit well with the tone of Link's Awakening at all.

And again, you may like the look, but you cannot tell me it doesn't look like it's modeled after a young child's toys, almost a sort of diorama look. I don't find it visually appealing at all, at least not in this context.

@alienjesus: That looks more "chibi" than the plasticine look here. I'd probably enjoy that style a bit more.

While I am excited that Dragon Quest XI will have 16 bit mode, that does mean I need to buy the game again, as that was what I wanted in the first place.

Yeah, it's a problem for me, too. I'm crossing my fingers they'll patch the new features into the PS4 version, but... probably not.

They stated that the orchesated tracks and 16 bit mode is exclusive for switch. The Japanese voices are not though.

My daughter is way into LoZ at the moment, and she is going to flip out when I show her the Link’s Awakening trailer tomorrow. The graphical style reminded me a bit of 3D Dot Game Heroes, which I loved, and I think the remake looks great.
