Help with Sega CD
I was attempting to play Panic! for Sega CD last night, and it kept saying I lack RAM. Does this game require the backup cart? If not, what is a possible solution? I was using a Model 2 genesis and Sega CD, if that helps. Thanks!

Re: Help with Sega CD
I don't know if this game needs the ram cart, but back in the day when I had my Sega CD I had many games where I could have no other save game files if I wanted to save. Third World War happens to be one that comes to mind. The Sega CD did not have very much flash ram for game saves.

You are just out of on board memory. You need to delete some saved files. The system battery doesnt hold a lot of info

That game is awesome. I dunno why it would need a save file though, I don't think there's a way to save. For that matter, is there even any way to progress through the game? AFAICT, it's just pushing buttons and watching crazy shit happen. Which is still pretty awesome.

Good call. One of the most off-the-wall and original games I've ever played. Funny as hell, too.Hatta wrote:That game is awesome.

Re: Help with Sega CD
Thanks, now how exactly do I go about deleting the saved files? :p Sorry, I'm not that familiar with the Sega CD yet...
Re: Help with Sega CD
I bought Switch recently too and have the same problem (I own the Japanese version but can't run it on my actual Mega CD, but I can run it on Kega Fusion). Doesn't help that the Bios when I play it are in Japanese.
Re: Help with Sega CD
i think if you load up the sega cd without a game in it, and go to the cd player screen there is something about checking the memory. cant tell you for certain, since i am not at home.

Re: Help with Sega CD
This was just being talked about in another thread. Boot up w/ a music disc and then after you get to the CD player, swap in a game disc and new options appear (SAVE and DATA, I think?)
