Brisk, just like Nestea, is nasty. Canned teas are always sour.
Last time I was in Maryland, I had to go to two grocery stores to find Lipton Family-Sized tea bags to make sweet tea. The first store only had small hot tea bags and big canisters of powdered tea. Blech!
Someone above asked for good tea. I'm not sure, but I am assuming he is referring to hot tea. My personal preference is the Whole Foods 365 everyday organic tea. I prefer the green tea, but my wife prefers the black tea (no jokes, please). It's $4 around here for a box of 80 bags, which is a lot cheaper than the fancy Lipton and Celestial Seasoning's teas.
That and natural peanut butter ($1.79 for 18 oz.) are the only things I buy at Whole Foods.

Glad to know you ain't a hippie.
In Brisk's favor, Nestea is worse, if only because it has that fake lemon piss taste that I absolutely can't stand. Brisk isn't much better though.
I had some really good sweet tea at a small Greek restaurant. They added a bag of green tea in with the black tea, and what came out was pretty phenomenal. And then there's the Milo's Burgers. It'll make you die young, but damn amazing fries. Kinda reminds of the greatest cookbook ever, Eat What You Want and Die Like A Man. It ranks up there with the author's other cookbook, Keep Chewing Till It Stops Kicking: Finding Your Inner Caveman.

Ok, I need more sleep, I read what "Beat it and Eat it" in Acks last post and there is nothing even remotely close to that there.

Yeah, Whole Foods actually has good prices on a few things.
Is the Greek restaurant to which you refer the new one over near where I-20/59 crosses McFarland? If so, I had some takeout from there about a month ago when I was in town briefly during spring break. I don't remember the name of what I had, but it was good.
Or are you referring to Tut's?

Re: banana diet
I'm getting into the tea debate late. I love teas. Hot or cold; red, green, black, etc. I even drink some of the "strange" herbal/berry ones. However, no sugar added. Yuck! And yeah, Whole foods has good teas. For mail order, Republic of Tea is good, just a little pricey. How about loose vs. bagged tea? Me I don't have a preference.
Re: banana diet
Yeah, I don't remember it's name either, but the food there is really good. That's the place I was referring to. Tut's I don't eat at very much, but the little yellow shack that family owns in front of Publix, I do tend to visit it(better hours, if you get what I mean).Limewater wrote:Is the Greek restaurant to which you refer the new one over near where I-20/59 crosses McFarland? And I know a few folks that work at Whole Foods...they've all got connections to Mallet too, and since I'm in Mallet...yeah...

You don't want to drink any more than 6 liters or water a day. You might want to cut back a little. I was informed by my doctor earlier this year that drinking too much water can disrupt your body's sodium balance. You lose the ability to properly regulate sodium levels.kingdomheights777 wrote:I have never heard of the "banana Diet"
I always eat 1 banana 15 mins prior to weight lifting and then another banana 30 mins into the workout, the potassium really helps me. I drink probably 6 liters of water a day, i do however drink one of those small 12 oz diet cokes for breakfast and lunch. But all the water I intake counteracts all the sodium in the diet coke.
Also, soluble fiber, like that in bananas, can help with both constipation AND the opposite problem. Eating too many bananas should not constipate you unless you have other dietary problems.
Re: banana diet
6 liters/200oz is usually the max most people can drink without alot of effort anyway. If you drink more than that, eat pretzels - or so says the three doctors I asked. Two years ago I started drinking anywhere from 50 to 250oz of water a day and started to really get dizzy for no reason whatsoever. Doctors said it was the influx of water throwing off my sodium and if I eat pretzels until the body is use to the amount of water it should be fine. Now I drink 100-200oz every day of the week (weekends are wildcards).

Remember when that woman died from drinking too much water in an attempt to win a radio contest (the prize was a Wii)?

You live in the south and you were looking for Lipton to make sweet tea? Tsk tsk... You should be using Luzianne. I know, I'm Chattanoogan by upbringing.Limewater wrote:Last time I was in Maryland, I had to go to two grocery stores to find Lipton Family-Sized tea bags to make sweet tea.
