I can't stand Linkin Park or Disturbed if that counts for anything :P

Some of my friends are really into Disturbed. Some people care for it, some don't.

I always thought Korn sounded way different then any other band at the time, and they still do. I make fun of them a lot, but I have to admit, I do dig some of their tunes.

Crushing rhythms, punishing tones, hip-hop influenced drumming, and maniacal vocals.
Give, "shoots and ladders", a proper listen, and tell me if you don't fall into a sinister trance.
Is this for real?
Very real. What do you have against them?

Limp Bizkit had 3 good songs, "N 2gether Now (featuring method man)", "rolling (remix featuring Method Man, Redman and DMX", and the theme from Missions Impossible 2.

Linkin Park had one alright album (Hybrid Theory), which was pretty much 3 or 4 different songs stretched into a 12+ track album.

Disturbed hasn't really been doing anything too special since, Down with the sickness.

And we're going to debate personal taste in music???

I like Dan Deacon. A LOT of people HATE Dan Deacon.

It's futile... so please, just don't debate personal taste in music as if EVERYONE should appreciate some artist. Because it is not required that I enjoy Korn or even respect them in ANY manner.

oh and:

"sinister trance"? - a trance that signifies evil? ok... I can go the rest of my life with out having one of those.

Hur hur dur, popular music is teh gay.

But really, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Korn, and the like all had at least one great album at one time. Whether they turned into superstars or got painfully overplayed on the radio is another issue. One I don't really care about.

Im not sure how Linkin Park got brought into this but they did make one excellent album - Collision Course. I say they made it, even though it is mostly Jay-z, because they did all of the work. Jay-z showed up, did his thing, and left, they did all the planning. Then again my opinion may be severely skewed in that I am a Jay-z fan...
