New Weekly Classic Video Game Show

Post by onemanfilmcrew »

Hey everybody, I wanted to let you all know that I just launched my own weekly Classic Video Game Show.

It is going to be a weekly 5-8 minute show that focuses on all things classic gaming. The debut episode is a look back at the Alien vs. Predator arcade game, and the 5 reasons why Phantasy Star II is the hardest game ever.

Please take a look at it and let me know your thoughts. Oh, and at the moment I'm unemployed, so if you guys could click on the ads a few hundred times each, i would be greatly appreciative :D

Sorry Derek, I thought I responded to your email earlier, but looking at my inbox I did not.

The only complaint I have is how you are micd when you are the host, there is a noticeable sound quality dip.

But I agree completely agree with the Phantasy Star magic system. It gets me every time I try to play them.

Yeah, I'm trying to work on that. I believe i fixed a big part of the problem on the following shows. Ideally I need a high end wireless lav mic. Unfortunately I don't have the several hundred dollars for it at the moment.

Oh yeah, and one more thing. The next new episode launches on Friday, April 24th, and a new episode will follow every Friday after that. Next week is Zombies Ate My Neighbors and a showcase of the violence we were cheated out of as kids by showing the differences in the American and Japanese releases of Last Battle.

Liked the show. Keep up the good work. :D

Also, great pick for the "hardest game". I don't think I've ever used a Game Genie code on an RPG until I played PSII.

Phantasy Star II was hard? Sure the dungeons were mazes, and there were random battles every few steps. But that just means you're constantly gaining experience and leveling up. Give everyone an area effect weapon and you're good to go. The battles even fight themselves.

I guess I'll have to watch the show. :P

Hey Hatta, you do have a point with some of the battles, but check out the show and the reasons I came up with and let me know what you think. I just remember as a kid my parents took away the hint guide because they were afraid i would finish the game too quickly. Thankfully 6 months later they gave it back and I had a prayer of finishing it.
