What are your favorite TV Shows? Which can't you stand?

Right now my favorites are:
My Name is Earl -- the writing for that show is incredible and its very unique.
Beauty and the Geek 2 -- this season they have a great group of people that make it very interesting.

Others I enjoy:
King of Queens -- Doug and Carrie are a lot like my wife and I
The Office -- the last few episodes have been pretty good.
Arrested Development -- shame to see this one end -- intelligent humor and lots of great inside jokes.
Gilmore Girls -- my wife's favorite. The humor is good, but the last season or so has declined a bit
Desperate Housewives -- actually isn't too bad -- some of the sub-stories are odd, but they do a decent job

Ones I hate:
Hope and Faith -- possibly the worst acting even
Entertainment Tonight -- I don't know how people can watch/read all the celeb crap

I like almost anything on the animal planet and the history channel. As for regular shows
south park, simpsons and the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the intro song sucks though)

but i forgot i like american dad , family guy, house, the old Soal Train, wings, up all night with ronda on usa - no matter what kind of crap they where showing, the monster movies with that cowboy dude, the monster shows with host Gilbert gotfry..... and the news. there is always some screwd up thing happening in the world.

did i mention i hate buffy, angel and friends? If there was a growing river of slime under new york feeding on bad vibes, id say half of it would be from my hate for those shows and paris hilton and hiltons show and that stupid brats and winks bull shise. ... shame on them.... breeding the next batch of losers who only worry about hair and whats "HOT" I HATE THEM SO MUCH. I want them alive and in PAIN.

ID suffer countless kicks to my nuts if id knew theyd feel it too.

well well, i'll try to stay semi-current... keep in mind that i've been in japan a while and i didn't watch much tv to begin with back in the states... mostly cartoon network

arrested development
simpsons (some seasons worse than others, but i'll watch em all!)
futurama
samurai champloo
dragonball z (it's nostalgic fun to watch the "remakes" of the funimation episodes)
history channel
aqua teen hunger force
curb your enthusiasm (been quite a while since i've seen it, but it was great!)

of course there's a ton of stuff from the past, but i think you were referring to stuff i still see on tv as opposed to dvd box sets and such, right?

For some reason I liked the second season of Americal Idol and Dancing With The Stars, but I hated anything after that (concerning American Idol). I really don't like to watch TV that much and just stick to those core shows and watch nothing else. I occasionally leave on that videogame channel or Sci-Fi. I'm a big movie watcher, which is probably why I got into Battlestar. I originally thought they were just making a mini-series and that was it, but that was enough to get me hooked on looking forward to the next episode week after week.

Dr. House is my personality idol.

I like watching doctors fuck up their lives.
