Retro Challenge: Help me find this game...

Ok, here is what I remember of this game
*This game is on the famicom(or NES)
*This game is about astro boy or some one that looks damn like him
*This game is a platformer if I remember right
*This game is damn old I think its before '92

thats about all that I can remember about it...any ideas?

The first thing that pops into my head is megaman, but that seems too obvious. There was, however, an astro boy game for the famicom. there are probably over 100 games that fit that criteria. do you remember anything about the story? maybe what the box art looked like?

Its not Megaman for sure
I remember one thing but god will it NOT help
there was a level where you had to ascend upwards not wide ways, I know like every platformer got that...

Really vague information. The fact that you're not sure if it's a platformer or not sort of hurts a bit.

Honestly, I can't see it being Kid Icarus, but really there are hundreds of titles it could be.

I am 98% sure its a platformer

actually the first section of the first level of Kid Icarus seems exactly what I had in my mind, but I wonder how many games similar to that on the NES.
I recall it having better more colorful graphics...but am not sure...it could be it
