Holy crap I should keep up on game news. I lost interest when the WiiU got depressing.
I'd so buy the hell out of probably both of those. That's some excellent coup level news for the Switch to get that stuff. More and more developers need to realize the base there is huge and at a crazy rate growing. Make shit work, or make something of good quality for the system you'd normally expect such efforts from them for other systems. Ignoring isn't profitable anymore.

Civ6 is super left field. With that, Wasteland 2, Warframe, and Payday 2, there are alot of solid PC ports showing up we never thought would.
Come on Half Life 3!

That would be the ultimate Valve troll; release HL3 but make it Switch exclusive.fastbilly1 wrote:Come on Half Life 3!

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
If Valve isn't ready to commit to Half-Life 3 because they think the single-player experience is largely dead for them and there's nothing new they can and want to do in that space, maybe they should just change its genre. Make a Half-Life Tactics game that covers events around 2 and paves the way for a whole new way of exploring the world. Switch would be a great platform for that
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Ok I'm now like thoroughly confused by Octopath Traveler to it almost being a put off at the moment at least so I put it down.
I picked Cyrus, took down the thief and then that douche that runs the close minded academy put me on suggested leave. The game crappily points to head somewhere, but there's zero indicator which way to walk to find it. I'm lv8 almost 9. These frog things deal some decent damage and if I do find a pair of ant enemies they like chomp for 30 a hit which sucks.
I read something online that says I can play the other characters the the game is downright cockblocking me from it. I can see them on the map, says be lv5, I'm over that, but I can't select them. What the hell is the deal? I tried walking a bit with Cyrus, and the snow area was threat 1, and I sort of went south of the start town and it didn't seem much different so I turned around. I tried a NE area, said threat 17 and before I knew it, dead in one round. One thing I can't stand more than anything in an RPG is zero idea where to go and getting confused by the map related to that.
There's one faq online, lame HTML version too on gamefaqs, and it's like just pick another player. IT WON'T LET ME.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
If you only have one character then no, you don't pick another. You do have to trek your way to the next one thru the overworld. If you feel underleveled to do so then grind a bit. But I don't remember needing to do so early on personally.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I'm confused by what's confusing you. You shouldn't have to go through any routes that you would be significantly underleveled in. On the map there should be 7 other characters located in various towns. Just find the closest one and head to that town. You shouldn't get lost, there are sign posts to guide you.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I guess it telling him to find that other person who isn't named after one of the eight was a bit of misdirection then. I'm sure i could walk it to the next town, it's close. I do dislike being a party of one when you hit so pathetically with stuff. It's so far a really nice game.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Yeah, now I think about it, that did confuse me a little bit in the demo.
I really want to get back into Octopath, but damn the game is dense. After 60 odd hours, I feel a but exhausted by the game to be honest. I really want to experience the whole story and complete everyone's paths, but maybe I should just concentrate on like 4 people's stories and then call it a day.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I'm honestly way more interested in DQ11 over Octopath.
