Anyone pick up Rhythm Heaven?

The original Rhythm Tengoku is in my top 5 favorite games of all time, so I'm pumped that they localized the sequel "Rhythm Heaven". Hopefully I'll be able to set aside cash to pick it up very soon. It pains me knowing that it's available but I dont have it yet...

Has anyone else played it yet? Thoughts?

Liked the GBA one more. Touch screen just can't be relied upon like a button can.

I've got it but I can't get passed the second level. I'm copying it exacty but it just won't pass me. Blegh.

Yeah, I'm stuck on the third level, so I'm not doing much better. Damn robots!

I agree with the touch screen dependability...maybe just so I can have something to blame my sucking on, if nothing else.

I'm about halfway through the game.

Some of the stages are so tough.

You can try, but some emulators have lag with the game that make it quite difficult. But you should absolutely find a way to play it. It's my favorite rhythm game ever.

Maybe on a piece of crap machine. Try turning off vsync.

Bought it Tuesday. I'm into the second segment of levels. Lots of fun, but it can be tough. It's truly like playing music: you have to practice and really fall into the feel of it.

It's also just soooo Nintendo. I don't have a Wii and haven't touched my DS for a while and playing a Ninty game just reminds me again of how attuned they are to what is fun and why. Everything right down to the stage select music is so polished.

I assume most of you are playing with headphones? Makes a huge difference.

My roommate and I both have it and he dominated that game in like 4 days. He became super addicted. He is also very musically talented, he plays the violin and the trumpet. I still struggle with it, but I don't really have a lot of time to play it recently with school finals going on. From what I have played it is very fun and quirky. The original Tengoku one you mentioned is also a blast.

The game seemed challenging at first, but that was mostly due to getting the hang of "flicking." I found myself getting the highest score (short of perfect) on the first try on a number of stages. I only played it when I first got it though, so I'll have to return to it and see how I do.

Despite the fact it uses the same commands over and over again, there's a great amount of diversity in the title. I'll have to pick up the original once I finish up with Rhythm Heaven.
